  • Your baby is excessively fussy and unhappy

  • You are getting conflicting advice about feeding your baby and want to know the evidence-based truth from someone who has experience and training in counseling nursing moms (this conflicting advice usually goes along with sleeping and scheduling advice)

Want help getting reimbursement from your insurance company after making a payment for lactation services?
In an effort to help our clients bridge the gap between you and your insurer we will be offering a new service to clients using out of network benefits. Our billing specialist will compose, file and follow up on your claim for reimbursement of services once payment is rendered.  This service is provided as a courtesy to all South Jersey Breastfeeding Center clients at no additional charge.  While this is not a guarantee of reimbursement, our hope is that it will alleviate some of the stress associated with the insurance process. •

It is recommended that you verify your out of network benefits prior to the appointment. This would include contacting your insurance provider (customer service number on back of card) and verify your out of network benefits for CPT/Diagnosis codes 092.70 and Z39.1 and Procedure codes 99203 and 99404. Follow this link  for a step by step guide for speaking with your insurance company about your lactation benefits.

*Please note that if you have not met your out of network deductible, your reimbursement will be applied to the deductible.

At the start of your lactation consultation appointment a copy of your insurance card and drivers license will be collected. This information in addition to proof of payment will be used to submit a claim to your insurance company on your behalf by our billing specialist. She will then email you confirmation of the claim submission.  At that point, you may contact her directly with any questions or concerns regarding reimbursement.
